  1. Fabulous honeymoon

A wonderful place to start our honeymoon. Luxuriously appointed (but not pretentious) with super helpful and engaging staff and guides. Delicious food and wine. Very helpful team arranged all the extra-curricular activities (rafting, heli-copter, Vic Falls trip) and spectacular scenery and wild-life to match. Thank you.

  2. Georgeous Lodge

This was a first stop of four in Africa. The property is beautiful and the staff was exceptional. For us, we wanted to ease into the Africa safari experience and this worked well for us . Obbey One was our guide and was very informative and had incredible instinct on where to find animals we wanted to see. Fishing for Tiger Fish was a great experience for my husband and he spent a lot of time with our guide Easy talking about his life and the culture of the area. The Village visit is very worthwhile if you want to get closer to the people and their daily lives . African Bush Camps has a Foundation that does incredible work and the Zambia project is in it early stages. To miss the visit would be a regret, so if you have time, do it, it was a grounding experience. For us, Thorntree was a nice way to slowly assimilate to Africa and glad we did it first of three camps and the next two were tented and a totally different vibe .

  3. This hotel is pure luxury

We traveled here inbetween Khwai and Somalisa and it proved to be an interesting change of pace from those two. Unlike the tents, these were full fledged luxurious rooms. The rest of the hotel was luxury from head to toe and it did not seem to encourage mingling within the group. When we arrived they offered to take us for a boat ride on the Zambezi river during the sunset which I would strongly advise. The sunset was gorgeous and we got to witness the powerful current of the river. Nearby you can do a walking safari for Rhinos and learn about their hardships in Africa.
